The Gateway: E Precinct
The E Block development, E1 and E2 is bordered by Oteha Vallley Road to the North & Corban Avenue to the South, the road forms a strong Gateway marker for the entire Albany Basin. El and E2 comprises a mixed use development including bulk retail, food retail & restaurants, commercial office space and a childcare facility. The primary catchment area is home to 195,000 people with the secondary catchment area adding 60,000 people. Due to the location and to the accessibility to all of Auckland, El and E2 will be a leading retail, restaurant and office destination. The tenancy mix provides for a mixture of large and small tenants and convenience and showroom type tenants.
Activities intended to be provided within the E block development are:
- Showrooms or retailers of automotive and marine-related products
- Hardware and building supply stores
- Garden centers
- Retailers of furniture, floor coverings and household appliances
- Transportation related activities
- Convenience stores of 200m2 or less
- Cafes or restaurants
Current traffic volumes on Oteha Valley Road are in the order of 40,000 vehicles per
day (two-way). Peak two-way traffic flows are around 1,500 vehicles per day during the morning and peak times. Off-peak flows range from 700 to 1,000 vehicles per hour (two-way).
Resource Consent has been granted for the project and bulk earthworks are complete.
